I’ve been keeping something quiet for a little while, and I’m finally getting close to sharing it.
Copper & Pine Studio is getting a little more room to grow.
This October, I’ll begin welcoming families into a brand-new photography studio in Walhalla, North Dakota—a space created for newborns, motherhood, growing families, and all the little stages in between.
And while I can’t show you everything quite yet, I can finally tell you a little more about what’s coming.
I’ve been dreaming about a space that feels a little bit like an exhale.
Because as a mom myself, I know getting everyone out the door for photos can feel like an event before you’ve even arrived.
There are outfits to remember, babies to feed, diapers to pack, snacks to grab, hair to fix, and usually at least one child who suddenly can’t find their shoes.
So as I’ve been planning this studio, I’ve been thinking about more than where I’ll take the photos.
I’ve been thinking about what it feels like to walk through the door.
I want you to be able to come in, set everything down, and settle in with your family knowing I’ve already thought about the little things.
There will be comfortable seating, a place to drop your bags and hang your things, a baby changing area, a mirror for those last-minute checks, refreshments, a small children’s area, and the beginnings of a client closet that I’ll continue building over time.
Nothing overly complicated. Just thoughtful details meant to make the whole experience feel a little easier.
The Studio will give Copper & Pine families a new indoor option for some of the seasons I love documenting most:
New babies. Growing bellies. First birthdays. Milestones. Little personalities. Motherhood.
I’ll be offering studio newborn sessions, maternity sessions, milestone sessions, select family sessions, seasonal sessions, and a brand-new offering I’m especially excited about: Little Pines personality portraits.
Little Pines will be all about documenting kids exactly as they are right now—the big laughs, missing teeth, serious little expressions, wild personalities and everything you know is going to change before you’re ready.
There will be much more on those soon.
They’re not going anywhere. 🤍
In-home newborn photography has become such an important part of Copper & Pine Studio, and I still love telling the story of those first weeks in the place you’re actually bringing your baby home to.
The Studio isn’t replacing that experience.
Instead, you’ll now have two different ways to document your newborn season.
If home is where you want to remember these days—the nursery you spent months preparing, mornings piled onto your own bed, siblings running through familiar rooms—an in-home newborn session will still be there for you.
If you’d rather arrive somewhere that’s already prepared for you, The Studio will offer a relaxed, family-centered newborn experience in a warm, simple space designed specifically for photographing babies and families.
Same connection-first approach. Two different experiences.
There’s still plenty happening behind the scenes before I can show you the finished space.
Furniture is arriving. Plans are coming together. I’m figuring out all those tiny details that somehow turn into approximately 500 decisions. 😂
But little by little, an empty room is becoming Copper & Pine Studio.
The Studio at Copper & Pine will begin welcoming its first families October 2026, in Walhalla, North Dakota.
I can’t wait for newborn babies to be snuggled here. For toddlers to explore. For moms to settle onto the bed with their babies. For first birthdays, growing bellies, Little Pines and all the ordinary little moments that will eventually mean so much.
Mostly, I can’t wait to open the door and welcome you in.

Stay close. More soon. 🤍
